Prefrontal winds yesterday (G 51 mph in Chalfant Valley), will lead to brisk postfrontal NE winds today, gradually diminishing overnight. All due to a large and cold mid-level trough from the Northern / Central Rockies propagating SE, then stalling out over Northern Utah today. Temps drop to below normal throughout the Owens Valley and Mammoth today, with dry weather. That system should keep its overall hold over our area, keeping temperatures near normal thru Monday. However by Tuesday a fairly strong ridge kicks that system East, running up heights (here we again) to above normal…DMATT
