FRI MAR 04 2022 4:06 AM PDT – HAVE A “GREAT GO DO IT” WEEKEND!
After high pressure has been in control for a few days now, colder and wetter weather happens, as two systems will affect our area, one today and another Saturday. The heaviest precipitation should be later today into the evening. Now these storms will not be a direct hit, none-the-less, decent precipitation in the mountains is expected, with 0.5 – 1 inch of liquid. That translates into about 7 – 10 inches at the base and 11 – 13 over Mammoth Mountain by Saturday. Rain showers are also expected in the Owens Valley (off / on), today and Saturday. Sunday should be cool and dry. These systems will remind many of us that Spring has yet to arrive, with high temperatures plummeting some 20 degrees in many areas, between Thursday and Sunday…DMATT
