Details Candidate Filing Locations Now Available

Inyo County Clerk-Recorder/Registrar of Voters Danielle Sexton announces the dates, times, and locations for candidate filing for local board member positions that will be up for election in the November General Election. The list of local districts that have positions up for election in the November 3, 2026, General Election is available on the Elections website:

Municipal Elections

Candidates for municipal contests (including incumbents) must file directly with the

City of Bishop, City Clerk.

Location: City Hall, 377 West Line Street, Bishop, CA 93514

Dates: Full Candidate Filing Period of July 13 to Aug. 7 By appointment!

District Elections (Board of Education, school districts, and special districts)

Candidates for local district contests (including incumbents) must file directly with the Elections Office. The Inyo County Elections Office will provide outreach candidate filing services at various locations throughout the County. If you are unable to meet with us on the scheduled dates listed below for your area, you will be required to travel to Independence to file.
