Forecast Discussion – Fri Jan 26 2024
Our storm Wednesday brought 2 inches of fresh snow to the Main Lodge. So far Mammoth has a season total of 98 inches. We should stay dry through next Wednesday, as strong high pressure off the coast, keeps the storm track to our North. Temperatures warm up as well, where Bishop is looking at 65° Sunday. About next Thursday, we should swing back to a more active pattern, with precipitation creeping back into our area. Let’s hope we don’t see more splitting systems favoring SOCAL, rather than NORCAL and Central CA. Hopefully February will flip on the “wet” switch for us?…DMATT
