As mentioned in yesterday’s forecast, we have a series of weak impulses hobbling through our area Thursday into Saturday. These systems will bring us some cold air, but lack any real dynimacis or synoptic forcing. Also their trajectory favores Northeast CA and Northern Nevada. So you can expect light showers off / on Thursday thru Saturday in Mammoth. Snow wise, the higher elevations (Mammoth Mtn) could pick up about 2 – 3 inches of new snow by later Saturday. The Owens Valley will stay mostly dry through the period with a snowflake or two Thursday evening…DMATT
