The bad news, it was very HOT over the weekend. The good news, we will have a gradual cooldown starting today. Why? High pressure is expected to shift near 4-Corners today, nudged there by troughing over the PACNW. This will set up an influx of moisture, with PWs off GOES 18 satellite running 0.75 – 1.0 inches. This moisture will lack considerable forcing, nonetheless, partly cloudy skies are likely, in the Owens Valley and a chance of t’storms over the higher terrain of our Forecast Area. With all of this, cooler temps are the order, at 99° in Bishop thru Friday. Still hot yes, but a bit more tolerable I think..DMATT
