Yesterday (Wednesday) a compact upper cyclone pushed along the spine of the Sierra, bringing a little snow. That low leaves behind today approx. 5 inches of new snow in Mammoth. Remember we have been stuck with a Southerly flow, which limits accumulations. Also today, the center of that low moves farther South, with precipitation bands barely reaching Mono County. So expect light showers with maybe 1 – 2 inches of new snow above 8K feet. With all of this the Owens Valley looks to pick up a few showers…DMATT
