Periods of gusty winds today and tomorrow as we are caught between high pressure off the coast and low pressure dropping down through Utah. Along with this, cooler air will filter into our forecast area. By Friday, high pressure strengthens and drifts inland, bringing a reduction in the winds and a gradual warming trend through the holiday weekend. Dry conditions will prevail through then.
FOR THE OWENS VALLEY:
Today: Sunny with mostly clear skies at night. Highs 51 and lows 21. Winds N 10 – 15 mph G 25.
Thursday: Sunny becoming partly cloudy. Highs 47 and lows 14. Winds NE 10 – 15 mph.
FOR THE TOWN OF MAMMOTH LAKES:
Today: Mostly sunny then mostly clear in the evening. Highs 38 and lows 10. Winds N 10 – 15 mph.
Thursday: Sunny with mostly clear skies at night. Highs 35 and lows 18. Winds N 10 – 15 mph.
FOR MONO COUNTY:
Today: Mostly clear day and night. Highs 39 – 44 and lows 2 – 12. Winds N 10 – 15 mph G 30.
Thursday: Sunny skies during the day and clear skies at night. Highs 32 – 37 and lows 1 – 11. Winds NE 10 – 15 mph G 30 in the AM.
