Temps thru mid week still run below normal as we are still under the influence of yet another trough pattern, with a chance of an isolated t’storm over Mammoth. As that trough wanes, a ridge pattern (591 dm) builds into the Western States. So afternoon highs will be on the march upward by the end of week. How warm? 109° in Ridgecrest, 100° in Bishop, 78° in Mammoth, Reno 99° and 122° in Death Valley by Sunday. After one of the coolest years and Junes on record, it looks like the party’s over for those of you who like below normal temperatures…DMATT
