MON FEB 20 2022 — PRESIDENT’S DAY

After a nice President Day today, things will be changing. So get ready for another cold, wet snap. By late Tuesday, the Jet Max (Jet Stream) will aid in the development of a large and cold Arctic driven trough spinning off the coast of the Western States. Preferential jet dynamics will push a strong cold front over the Sierra first, then down into Inyo and Mono County overnight Tuesday. Very windy conditions are expected (what else is new). Light snow will develop Tuesday then Thursday with Bishop seeing 30% snow showers. Mammoth could get as much as 1 – 2 feet by Thursday, with lingering snow possible Friday. It’s safe to say that this system will produce periods of impactful weather thru Friday…DMATT
