Dennis Mattinson’s Weather – August 17, 2023

THU AUG 17 2023

Daily chances of t’storms thru Friday, then a slight lull in the action on Saturday. Other than that, not much has changed, as we continue to be wedged between a stubborn closed off the CA coast and a ridge over 4-Corners. So a continuation of storm coverage over Mammoth and the Sierra 30% – 50% and the Owens Valley 15% – 20%…DMATT

Temperatures TODAY:

Bishop: 92 / 56
Mammoth Lakes: 71 / 50
Independence: 94 / 66
Lone Pine: 94 / 68
Ridgecrest: 105 / 74
Death Valley: 118 / 92

Colleen: The Owens Valley is on the Eastern fringe of Hilary’s large moisture plume. As such a Flood Watch is in effect from Aug 19 – Aug 22
