Charles VanDeVoorde of Bishop
A ten-year resident of Bishop, Charles Joseph VanDeVoorde died on Christmas day. There were no local services announced.
VanDeVoorde, according to friends, was found on Christmas morning in front of his J Diamond residence. He was a long time employee at High Sierra Distributing in Bishop. Brune Mortuary said that VanDeVoorde would be taken to the Mojave Cemetery for burial next to his father.
Friends called VanDeVoorde a sweet and gentle soul who would be greatly missed by those who knew and worked with him.

Charlie was a great guy! Quiet but funny – those of us that knew and worked with him all got a kick out of Chuck! He was an amazing off road motorcycle rider back in the day and I hope now he’s taking those jumps in heaven. RIP CHARLIE!
