Residents of Mammoth Lakes looked on with interest as Highway Patrol officers handcuffed individuals they had pulled from a stopped vehicle near Union Bank at the Minaret Village Mall.

Details were sketchy, but those on scene reported that the CHP had pulled over a car reportedly because someone inside was not wearing a seat belt. Reports from the scene indicated that officers may have seen drugs in the car at that point.

Reports said that the CHP arrested a man and a woman. We expect to receive additional information today from the CHP.
