A Virtual Event on Monday, April 19th at 6:30PM
Prepare to Participate in California’s 30×30 Campaign with Organizer and Educator Kris Hohag
Join the campaign to conserve 30% of U.S. wildlands, cultural areas, open space, and water by 2030. We need YOU to help make this conservation goal a reality, by representing our region at critical upcoming statewide meetings!
California recently launched an effort to protect 30% of the state’s land, inland water, and ocean by 2030. At this April 19th presentation, Sierra Club Eastern Sierra Organizer Kris Hohag will prepare INYO350 members and allies to join a California stakeholders meeting (the California Natural Resources Agency’s Sierra Nevada regional meeting) on April 28th. It’s important that Eastern Sierra voices are heard during that meeting and throughout this process.
By participating, you can give our region a voice in the creation of statewide goals for land and water protection. You can also help ensure that the state engages and listens to the full diversity of our area’s residents, especially the Indigenous community.
There will be many ways to help. Please attend April 19th’s virtual event and learn more!
