U.S. 395 Closed in Bishop

BISHOP U.S. 395 CLOSURE UPDATE: U.S. 395/Main Street is now open through Bishop following this morning’s closure at Horace Albright Ave. One southbound lane will remain closed between Cottonwood Plaza and Horace Albright Ave. as crews continue working on the newly installed power pole.

Caltrans District 9 reminds drivers to be aware of emergency personnel in the area and to slow down in work zones.

BISHOP – U.S. 395 is closed in Bishop at Horace Albright Avenue—formerly Park Street—due to a vehicle versus power pole collision. Vehicle traffic is being detoured around the closure to Bishop side streets. Big rigs are temporarily being stopped at the north and south ends of town until the closure is cleared.

Caltrans will post updates on this closure to its social media channels on Twitter and Facebook. We remind all drivers to obey the posted speed limits through the residential areas of Bishop.
