PRESS RELEASE FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

C5 Studios presents: A Spring Downtown Art Walk and Art in Storefronts 2026

On Saturday April 25th 5:30 – 8:00pm, C5 Studios invites the community to hit the streets of Bishop for the Spring Downtown Art Walk. Following November 2025’s enormously successful Chilly Nights Warm Delights Downtown Art Walk, C5 Studios will once again fill the streets of downtown Bishop with artists, poets, musicians and performers to celebrate and support the arts. This free community offering, generously sponsored by US Bank, brings the community together in a playful, creative gathering that will inspire and entertain folks of all ages.

Visitors can expect to enjoy live music from the Sandy Anderson Trio and others, performances by Eastern Sierra Aerial Art and other acts, and perhaps pick up some veggies from Inyo County School Farm’s fresh produce stand. Over 20 participating businesses including Mac’s Sporting Goods, Elevated, Looney Bean, the Business Resource Center, Anne Marie’s, Owens Valley Apparel, Sierra Cottons and Wools and Spellbinder Books will feature local artists showing and selling their work, and a scavenger hunt is sure to capture the attention of all ages of treasure-hunters. In a special offering hosted by AltaOne, Sierra Snow will provide shaved ice alongside kids crafts and activities.

The Spring Downtown Art Walk will also feature the launch of this year’s Art in Storefronts, a program that aims to beautify and invigorate under-utilized or vacant storefront windows through art installations by local artists. Back for the 4th year in a row Art in Storefronts 2026, supported by the City of Bishop, features art installations by a number of local artists including Cora Berger, Amy Wicks, Courtney teNyenHuis and youth artists from Bishop Elementary School. On the evening of the Spring Downtown Art Walk, self-guided tours around the new storefront art installations are encouraged, with opportunities to sign up for guided tours at a later date.

Art Walk brochures containing maps to guide visitors on their walk will be available to collect at various points in downtown Bishop including C5 Studios and the pocket parks along Warren Street. Community members are also invited to buy raffle tickets for a chance to win prizes, while supporting C5 Studios to continue supporting community and the arts and offering free events for all.

The Spring Downtown Art Walk will run from 5:30 – 8:00pm on Saturday April 25th.
