A man sentenced to prison for a string of burglaries in the Bishop area, has now been sentenced to even more time for additional burglaries in Mono County.
35 year old Bishop resident Ty Allen Mosher, was arrested in April of 2008 after a witness saw him leaving the Imperial Gourmet Restaurant in Bishop carrying the Bank Deposit Bag at 6:40 in the morning.
Mosher was also arrested in September of 2005 for alleged burglary at Home Lumber, now Stock Building Supplies, in Bishop.
For the Imperial Gourmet burglary, Mosher was sentenced to four years in state prison.
Now Mosher has received additional prison time for three burglaries in Mono County, also from 2008. In early April of 2008, someone broke into the Convict Lake Resort, setting fire to the business office and taking money from the restaurant.
Mosher was sentenced for this crime along with burglaries at the Carson Peak Inn, and the June Lake Junction Store. The damage and the money stolen added up to about $20,000, reports Assistant District Attorney Tim Kendall. Mosher received an additional four years in prison for these burglaries in Mono County.
