The Bishop Varsity Softball team delivered a strong performance at home on Tuesday, April 21, defeating Kern Valley 11-5 in a seven-inning contest.


Game Scoring

Kern Valley jumped out to an early lead with 4 runs in the first and 1 in the third. However, the Broncos’ offense surged late, scoring in four separate innings: 2 runs in the 1st, 5 runs in the 4th, 2 runs in the 5th, and 2 runs in the 6th.


Defensive Performance

Sadie Mairs went the distance for the Broncos, pitching all 7 innings to secure the win.

  • Stat Line: 5 Runs, 7 Hits, 6 Walks, 1 HBP, 4 Strikeouts.

It was a solid defensive showing for Bishop, as they effectively shut down the opposition by holding Kern Valley scoreless through the final four innings of the game.
