The Bishop JV Boys Basketball team traveled to Kern Valley Tuesday evening to take on the Broncs. Bishop jumped out hot from the start with Dom Dondero hitting 3, Will Kemp getting a steal, passing it on to Jacobe Dondero who also hit a 3. Bishop ended the first quarter up 15-6. The teams played a fairly even second quarter but Bishop blew the game open coming out of the half beating KV 14-2 in the third quarter. The game ended with Bishop on top 49-24. Leading the way for the Broncos was Will Kemp with 14 points to go along with 3 rebounds, 2 assists and 6 steals. Devon Mitchell had 8 points, 4 rebounds and 2 steals. Dom Dondero added 7 points, 3 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals. Jakobe Dondero had 6 points, 3 rebounds and 1 assist. Travis Hernandez had 6 points, Heath Fuller had 5 points and 4 rebounds. Thomas Jackson added 3 points. Derrick Cortez was a beast on the boards with 6 rebounds and 3 steals and Levi Williams played tough defense with 2 steals. Next up for the Broncos is a tough matchup at Lone Pine Friday evening at 5.
