Bishop Boys Varsity Basketball was at home Friday night for a league game against the Frazier Mountain Falcons. This was the first time this season that the Broncos were coming into the game with a full roster and a full week of practice. I was very happy with how they played together and we were able to get everyone some playing time.
The Broncos jumped out to an early lead and led after the first quarter 25-10. And going into halftime the Broncos led 33-16. It was a little challenging trying to get everyone some minutes and get the boys who have been in football the minutes they need to get into their rhythm but this was the game we were able to do that.
The Broncos ended up winning the game 67-29.
Leading the Broncos in scoring was Carlos Sualez with 11 points followed by Dom Dondero with 10. Jakobe Dondero had 9 points, Richie Talavera had 8, Will Kemp with 7, Emory Dondero, Devaun Mitchell and Ben Kemp all had 6 points, Brad Rottner added 3 points and Darrick Cortez with 1 point. The Broncos will have a double header home game against The Templeton Eagles and Rio Hondo Prep next Monday the 29th at 10am and 12pm. Followed by a rematch against the alone Pine Eagles on Tuesday the 30 at 10am.
