Bishop varsity softball hosted Cal City in league play Friday May 9th and came away with the victory 7 to 5.  Bishop lost to them in earlier league action this year,

 

Sadie Mairs was the starting pitcher facing 12 batters allowing 5 runs on 5 hits and 2 hits.  Sienna Fuller came in to complete the game giving up no runs on 3 hits, 2 walks and 7 strikeouts.

 

Offensively,

Katya Fierro was 1 for 3, 1 hit by pitch, 1 stolen base and 1 run scored

Braydee Momberg was 2 for 3 with a triple, 1 sacrifice bunt and 1 run scored

Faye Spoonhunter was 2 for 4, with 1 RBI, 2 stolen bases and 1 run scored

Cambrie Lanphear was 2 for 4, with 1 run scored

Tannyr Ludwick was 2 for 4, with 1 stolen base, and 2 runs scored

Ellie Boyd was 1 for 4 with 1 RBI, 1 stolen base and 1 run scored

Laila Beall was 1 for 2, with 2 hit by pitch, and 1 RBI

Sienna Fuller was 1 for 2, with 1 sacrifice, 1 walk and 2 RBIs

Analee Guerrero was 1 for 4.

 

Bishop was down 1 to 5 going into the 5th inning scoring 3 runs on 5 hits, with 9 batters hitting.  Still down 4 to 5 in the bottom of the 6th Bishop scored 3 more runs on 4 hits, with 8 batters hitting.  Bishop held Cal City scoreless in the top of the 7th to win 7 to 5.
