Bishop Varsity Softball traveled to Frazier Mt. Friday 4/24 and came away with the win with the score 20 to 8.
Ginger Lowden started on the mound and pitched 6 innings allowing 8 runs on 7 hits, 4 hit by pitch, 5 walks and 7 strike outs.
Sadie Mairs came in relief in the 7th inning and faced 5 batters allowing no runs, hitting one batter and striking out 1.
Offensively,
Avery McGraw was 3 for 5, with 1 walk, 3 stolen bases, 2 RBIs and 3 runs scored.
Ellie Boyd was 3 for 6 with a double, 1 stolen base, 3 RBIs, and 3 runs scored.
Cambrie Lanphear was 2 for 3 with a triple and double, 2 RBIs and 1 run scored.
Azul Aranzubia was 2 for 2 with 1 walk, 1 stolen base and 3RBIs.
Alecea Wilson was 2 for 3 with 1 walk, 3 stolen bases, 1 RBI and 2 runs scored.
Faye Spoonhunter was 1 for 2 with 2 walks, 2 sacrifices, 1 stolen base, 1 RBI and 3 runs scored.
Taylor Currie was 1 for 3 with 1 walk and 1 run scored.
Laila Beal walked 3 times with 1 stolen base and 3 runs scored.
Sadie walked 2 times with 1 stolen base, 1 RBI and 1 run scored.
Ginger Lowden walked 2 times with 1 stolen base.
Katya Fierro and Taylor Ludwick each had 1 walk and 1 run scored.
Defensively,
Bishop had an around the horn double play.  Hit to 3rd baseman Sadie Mairs, throwing to 2nd baseman Faye Spoonhunter, and Spoonhunter throwing to 1st baseman Laila Beall, to get out of the 3rd inning.
Azul Aranzubia made a great defensive catch in centerfield with bases loaded to end the rally in the 6th inning.
Bishop is 7 and 3 in league standings.  The Broncos will be heading to Mammoth for a game on Tuesday the 28th.
