With school underway, State budget problems in hand and teachers in place, the Bishop High School board will meet to deal with other issues Thursday at 6:30pm at Palisade Glacier High School in Big Pine.
On the agenda, the Board will consider establishing a committee to review a proposal from Playhouse 395 regarding a public/private partnership between Playhouse 395 and Bishop High School District.
Earlier, Playhouse members had suggested that the school allow teacher Jeff Pratt to focus on the school auditorium as a theater facility for a number of uses.
The School Board will also discuss use of school fields by outside agencies, and a closed session of the Board will deal with teachers’ and classified employees’ bargaining units on wages and benefits.
It is unknown if Bishop Superintendent Barry Simpson will talk to the Board about his decision not to present the President’s speech to students last week. That move created controversial responses from some local parents.
