The Bishop Bronco Boys Varsity was at home Friday against the Rosamond Roadrunners for their first matchup this season. The Broncos came out and played possibly their best game of the season. They jumped out to an early lead 21-6 after the first quarter and led 38-11 at the half. The Broncos outscored the Roadrunners 26-22 in the second half and walked away with another league win 64-35.
We played a great game right from the tip off. We played great defense forcing a lot of turnovers and had a lot of different guys score points for us. We are playing great basketball right now are only getting better each day. Still a long way to go but I feel like we are on the right path.
Leading the way in scoring for the Broncos were Carlos Sualez and Dom Dondero both with 11 points, followed by Will Kemp with 10 points, Emory Dondero with 9 points, Travis Hernandez had 6 points, Devaun Mitchell and Jakobe Dondero both added 5, Charley Lewis had 4 and Richie Talavera added 3.
The Broncos will be on the road to face the Desert Scorpions Tuesday and on the road again Friday to California City to play the Ravens.
