The Bishop Boys Varsity Basketball Team faced off against the Templeton Eagles yesterday at 3 pm at the Gus Glekas gym here in Bishop in a non league matchup.
It was a back and forth game for the first half with both teams trading baskets but the Eagles went on a run in the second quarter fueled by the Broncos turnovers on offense and went in with a lead over the. Broncos 31-23.
The second half was much of the same trading baskets and the Broncos just couldn’t dig out of the hole we dug in the first half and fell to the Eagles 59-45.
The Broncos were led on scoring by Emory Dondero with 18 points, followed by Richie Talavera with 9 points, Chris Charley had 6 points, Sophomore Dom Dondero with 5 points, Sophomore Devaun Mitchell with 4 and Carlos Sualez added 2.
The Broncos get a break before going back into league play on January 7 in Rosamond. It will be a much needed break as we have multiple kids battling colds and not feeling real great. So this will be a nice little break for us to get healthy
Thank you
