The road to Kmart sees more accidents than most intersections in Bishop. Another wreck halted traffic on Main Street to Highway 6 Monday evening.

Bishop Police responded to the crash that left one vehicle in the middle of the street and another along side. Witnesses on scene said that it appeared the driver of the van had stopped for some reason and a white truck behind it slammed into the van.

The witnesses weren’t sure how the truck ended up on the west shoulder of highway 6. The crash interfered with early evening traffic for awhile. Some nearby truck drivers directed traffic around the wreckage until police arrived.

The Bishop Volunteer Fire Department responded and so did Symons Ambulance. Two people were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
