Inyo County – Crews will be fog sealing US 395 as per the following schedule to extend the life of the roadway.

June 18, 2012    So. Bishop city limit sign to Line Street                    start time 8:00 pm
June 19, 2012    Bishop – Shell Y Mart to Barlow Lane                            start time 8:00 pm
June 20, 2012    Bishop area – Barlow Lane to Pleasant Valley Dam Rd           8:00 pm

June 26, 2012    South of Bishop – Gerkin Rd to So. Bishop city limit sign
                                                                                                             start time 5:00 am
June 27 – 28, 2012 North of Bishop – Gorge Rd to the top of Sherwin Grade
                                                                                                             start time 5:00 am

Mono County – Crews will be fog sealing US 395 & State Route 108 as per the following schedule to extend the life of the roadway.

June 25-26, 2012  Mono US Hwy 395 – Bodie Road to Jack Sayer Road
                          post mile 69.85 to 76                                        start time  6:30 am
June 27-28, 2012  Mono SR 108 (Bridgeport) – Hwy 395 & SR 108 Jct to lower gate  
                          post mile 10 – 15                                                         start time  6:30 am

The purpose of fog sealing is to rejuvenate the roadway by adding the naturally occurring oils back into the roadway that have oxidized out of the pavement.  This adds life to the pavement and allows it to perform better and be more flexible.

Please be advised that there may be up to 20 minute delays.  Flaggers will be directing traffic.  Slow down and watch for highway workers.

When approaching the construction zone the traveling public is advised to reduce their speed, observe the construction signs, and watch for construction personnel and equipment.
