Here is the latest on the vegetation fire that started 2-16-22 at 12:40 PM, known as the Airport Fire. The estimated acreage is 2,880 with 0% containment. No structures have been damaged or destroyed, but 150 structures are threatened. No injuries or fatalities.
The fire continued to remain active overnight, burning to the south. Firefighters are actively engaged in perimeter control and structure defense. Winds have remained steady and will continue at 10-15 mph out of the southwest.
Evacuation orders are n place for Big Pine East of Hwy 395, White Mountain Research Center, Owens Valley Radio Observatory. The evacuation center is the Bishop Senior Center 682 Spruce Street in Bishop.
Warm Springs Road East of Hwy 395 and Hwy 168 east of Hwy 395 are closed.
The assigned resources include:
66 Engines, 7 Water Tenders, 1 Helicopter, 16 Hand Crews, 7 Dozers, 36 Overhead, 432 Total Personnel. 6 Fixed Wing Tankers, 1 Air Attack.

I spoke to a fellow ham radio operator in Lake Isabella at 11:00 PST and he said thick smoke was there due to the north wind. From my Keeler view, most of the smoke went along Hwy. 395 and the eastern Sierra.
2,880 acres, not 2,88. Also, winds are out of the northwest, not the southwest.
