The Bishop Union high school girls varsity soccer team hosted the Desert Scorpions on December 12 at the John Schwab field.
The Broncos’ defense came out strong limiting the Scorpion’s attack to zero shots on goal with Gabby Veenker at the helm.
At the end of the first half the score was 7-0 in favor of the Broncos. In the second half the Broncos scored another six goals ending the game with a 13-0 win over the Scorpions.
Nine different players scored in the game with seven different players with one or more assist.
Brooke Taylor, Jaden Davis, Ellie Crall, and Kylie Acree all had two goals while Alyssa Buccholz, Ginger Lowden, Gabby Veenker, Jessica Santana, and Madyn Weller each scored a goal.
Alyssa Buccholz lead in assists with four, Ellie Crall and Brooklyn Braaten each had two assists, while Jillian Veenker, Claire Vetter, Jessica Santana, and Madyn Weller all had one assist.
The win was a great team effort. The Bishop Lady Broncos would like to thank the Desert Scorpions for their great sportsmanship and wish them the best of luck with the rest of their season.
