The Excessive Heat Warning is still in place thru July 18 for the Owens Valley. All from one of the strongest High Pressure systems this region has seen in a while. Satellite Imagery shows an elongated ridge stretching West to East, from the coast of SOCAL thru AZ and TX. Today onward, it looks like that big ridge will wiggle its way back over 4-Corners, in response to upper troughing over the PACNW. So the weather will transition from dangerously hot to just plain hot. Be that as it may, still 104° in Bishop by this Friday…DMATT
