Bishop Broncos Varsity Softball submitted by Stacy Van Nest

Bishop Bronco Varsity softball traveled to Kern Valley a little short handed Tuesday and fell to the Kern Valley Broncs 10-0.

Riley Van Nest pitched 4 innings she allowed 6 runs, 7 hits, 4 K’s, 3BB and 1 HP. Sienna Fuller pitched 1 inning she allowed 4 runs, 2 hits, 0 K’s, and 1 BB.

Offensively the Broncos put the ball in play 11 times but just didn’t get past the Kern Valley defense.

Kristen Sorenson was able to bunt and reach on an error.

Hope McKee was able to reach on an error.

Riley Van Nest was 1 for 2

Katya Fierro was 1 for 2.

The Broncos are now 3-2 in league and 4-3 overall. Next up we host Frazier Mountain for a double header on Friday, April 21. The first game starts at noon.

A reminder that the varsity baseball and softball double headers START at noon, with a 20-30 minute break in between games, and those games will be 2 5-inning games unless there is a tie, the tie will be played out.
