As of July 11, Inyo County transitioned to the HIGH transmission level of the CDC’s COVID-19 Community Index. According to available data,the dominant Omicron subvariants in California and the United States are BA.4 and BA.5 and they are both highly transmissible (even in outdoor settings); the R naught is approximately 18.6, which means that for each (1) Omicron-infected person approximately eighteen (18) other people will be infected.
Individuals should take precautions to protect themselves, family members, and friends. Inyo County Public Health recommends that individuals:
- Wear a mask indoors and in public space—Surgical masks, N95s, or KN95s with good fit are highly recommended
- People with symptoms, a positive test, or exposure to someone with COVID-19 should wear a mask.
- Masks are recommended in indoor public transportation settings and may be required in other places by state authorities.
- Get the COVID-19 vaccine and booster doses when eligible
- If you have not been vaccinated or boosted against COVID-19 and you are eligible, please consider making an appointment today at one of our participating providers.
- Most of the COVID-19 infections among vaccinated individuals in Inyo County occurred in persons whose most recent dose of a COVID-19 vaccine was more than 5 months prior to infection and indicate a waning vaccine efficacy after 5 months in boosted and unboosted individuals.
- Get tested if you are experiencing symptoms and follow Isolation & Quarantine recommendations.

This is no surprise, and the fact that many positive cases are not being reported. Sadly the evidence is clear….maskers-non maskers, vaccinated-non vaccinated, it’s all the actions and non-actions speaking truths. Who cares, who don’t, those who accept facts those who don’t accept facts even when it slaps them in the face with realities and truths. The truths of what’s wrong with the issues of Covid-19 and all it’s mutation variants is simply our species, human beings, just like everything else negatively caused and effects to our and all other species and earth, it took one modern time pandemic to reveal much more about the human species. Many are investing trillions into finding another inhabitable planet for the human species to inhabit. How sad, we can’t even take proper care of our earth or ourselves, what are they thinking, invest in earth invest in us, there is still time and hope for many.
Interesting, a claimed reproduction number of 18.6! That has to be near record breaking. Curious claim considering there is no way to test for these variants.

Hey William, thanks for the awesome link for all the conspiracy theorists out there that can’t cook up the BS on your own ! Also love that “MonoCountyAssembly” supports the Right to Travel as that apparently is getting shutdown for some of our population needing healthcare in various states. But back to the erroneous point of your rant: there are ways of testing that are effectively being used to test for variants. I think the best one I’ve heard in the past couple years is,the Government,actually inserting “chips” into our arms..( not a vaccine shot at all )….and keeping track of how many guns we have,might want to buy, and will be coming to get soon.
