So go ahead and keep blaming Obama so your vote for Romney doesn’t look that bad, and I’ll keep blaming Romney for not bringing anything to the table that was actually going to help the country…and we will all go home as winners in our heads but in reality there is no winners in the blame game..
Nobody wants to be wrong in front of their peers…..
If more than his 46 % of President Obama haters had gone brain-dead and voted Mitt Romney into office, not only a real good chance all he would have been is John Boehner’s “yes-man”,but also a good chance, since Romney stated after the election he didn’t want to be President anyway,he probably would have quit half-way through his term….
Especially in front of dirty ‘i wont present a budget’ Harry Reid.
So Benett if someone has a different opinion than yours of the president they must be wrong? Im afraid your just like MSNBC, they cant see his lies or dont care what he does now matter how much it hurts the very people he said he was to help.
No, I don’t say all others are wrong. I said in my view the commenter was inaccurate.
BK
There’s no crying in a debate! Don’t be such a sore loser Tire guy, If someone has a different opinion or even a more rational logical opinion, or better yet a more informed opinion that does not make yours wrong, but when you start name calling, label throwing or referencing to another in a negative juvenile manner it makes you seem very unsure of your argument/stance!
I’m afraid you can’t handle the truth and would take the first avenue of dismissal rather than admit to being wrong..
We are all entitled to our opinion, I say hats off to those in public eye that give their honest opinion; Chief Dan Watson, Benett Kessler, etc….
Whats your name? so we can hold you to what you say..LOL
“Have you ever noticed how all composite pictures of wanted criminals resemble Jesse Jackson?”
“Look, let me put it to you this way: the NFL all too often looks like a game between the Bloods and the Crips without any weapons. There, I said it.”
“The NAACP should have riot rehearsal. They should get a liquor store and practice robberies.”
[To an African American female caller]: “Take that bone out of your nose and call me back.”
“We need segregated buses… This is Obama’s America.”
Obama’s entire economic program is reparations.”

“The typical Democrat is a fat, lazy black woman on welfare”

Mongo is brown, Mongo’s black son in law didn’t vote for Obama. Mongo knows this because his pink daughter told him so.
So, by your reasoning, if a white person didn’t vote for Obama, does that make them a racist?
BobK…..Sadly,in many cases, that is true….How could ANYONE in their right mind possibly think John McCain would have been a better President than Barack Obama, knowing if McCain had health problems.or passed away,Sarah Palin would have been running this County ?.and same with Mitt Romney……The only possible reason ANYONE voted for Romney was because they hated Barack Obama…..not thinking Romney would have made a good or better President….
BobK, you owe Deja a lunch. He proved your point about intolerance. You either vote Deja’s way or you are a hater and a racist. No other explanation possible.
And they wonder what happened to civil discourse.
Wayne, I actually voted for Romney. Not because I hate Obama and not because he is half black. I voted for a selfless extremely successful business man which is what this country needed at the time and still needs more than ever! You can’t argue the selflessness just because he has made himself a rich man. A rich man who never drew a salary or any benefits as Governor and donated his entire inheritance from his equally successful father while Obama gets a pat on the back for paying for his own cheeseburger. Explain to me how a law school grad whose expertise was manipulating loopholes in government programs to get undeserving lazy people homes, cars, clothes and money for free is a better candidate in an economically treacherous time as now.
I edited out your last sentence which was unnecessarily insulting. I don’t know – I guess Mr. Romney truly lost me when he was caught griping about the “47%” of Americans who think they are entitled (to health care and food??) In today’s world, we need leaders willing to accept all of the people and deal with their needs. Sadly, a big part of that 47% are those over 65 who are on Medicare. We need people who will focus on public service. Government is not a business. It is an organization designed to provide service to the people and not at a profit. Yes, there are many problems we need to solve. We spend too much money on wars, defense and security and many other things. You are entitled to your support of Mr. Romney, but your description of President Obama is in my opinion – inaccurate.
Benett Kessler
At the local gym where I regularly work out one can exercise on the treadmill and watch television broadcasts at the same time. Just today I observed CNN and Fox News simultaneously. On the CNN show there were discussions on what might be done to unite people and find economy-building solutions from some economic experts. On the Fox Channel was the usual Obama is the devil! political rhetoric. No ideas, no discussions, just the same old disparity-driven right-wing bull that makes fortunes for ilk like Rush Limbaugh, Ann Coulter, Sean Hannity …
@Realist,
Okay so I am going to quote you here, please don’t take it the wrong way, I love these opportunity’s of debate and wisdom sharing;
“I voted for a selfless extremely successful business man which is what this country needed at the time and still needs more than ever!”
Willard Romney was born into money, and continued his fortunes in some of the most unethical, vulture capitalistic ways. How does this country need a very successful business man? because a country is supposed to be ran like a business? I fully disagree! The will of the people has never been a profitable business, we do not need a born into wealth business man that was obviously going to further scratch the backs of the extremely wealthy and corporations, when you understand the harm of corporations having 1st amendment rights, you should never vote for a candidate who says “corporations are people my friend”!!!
It’s sad to see your text and people who continue to mention this group of people in such ways “programs to get undeserving lazy people homes, cars, clothes and money for free” THAT IS PATHETIC! I can’t stand hearing people carry those right-wing arguments that point fingers at a very small percentage of the population as if they are the reason our congressional representatives no longer carry we the peoples best interest. You really think those people that have very little power over anything are the reason our country is so bad off? What makes me sick is a lot of people who say that have been fortunate and or currently well off in life, and don’t understand the struggles, or they do but just feel superior…
You really think we needed Romney in office?
Washington DC already looks out for the 0.01% of the richest Americans, why do we need somebody that doesn’t even allow his own money to be taxed here in the america’s, and you want to talk about entitlements?
We do not need a guy like Romney, we need a somebody who will tell the banks and investment banks to get out of bed with the fed and they owe the american home owners, someone who will bring tax rates back to the levels where it worked for everybody, someone who will fight to restore the lost democracy/republic thanks to the corruptive influence of money (lobbyists, campaign contributions, money to run ads over and over and over…)
What was Romney going to do that was going to help the american public? I have yet to hear a answer that holds up to fact check…
He kept talking about jobs, the only thing I could think of was if he just employed everybody out of pocket..
I will tell you one thing, businesses fail routinely. Find out what the composition of the Dow Jones Industrial index over it’s history. It has changed 53 times since it’s inception. Goodness knows we cannot have governments failing at the rate that businesses do so I will strongly challenge any assumption that running a business of any size qualifies you to hold elected public office.
In business you can fire whomever displeases you but in government you have to be able to hold your nose and negotiate with other elected public officials you find personally odious or who’s stated policy preferences you abhor. That takes a very different skill set and personal disposition than a business person brings to office
” I will strongly challenge any assumption that running a business of any size qualifies you to hold elected public office.”
You are so right on, Desert Tortoise!
As the economy continues to shrink, property values continue to remain stagnant, more people are being born each year and poverty levels continue to grow, the type of person we need in all levels of government is the one with the most compassion – not the CEO who will fire everybody and move his operations overseas to escape fair wages and adequate healthcare for his employees.
This kind of coldness is simply not The American Way.
I think much of what has been missed here is that Obama has done nothing to stop or even slow those very things you’ve just listed. You speak of arguments involving fact checks, but at the end of the day many people voted for Romney, solely because Obama accomplished absolutely nothing in his first term. Taxes are still laid mainly on the middle class. Banks are still diving into massive piles of money (a la Scrooge McDuck), while I keep hearing (again) what a great time it is to refinance. In the end, Obamacare is his only accomplishment, and though it will help some Americans, it will likely fall short of what we, as a country, really need.
“Obama accomplished absolutely nothing” says Bob Loblaw (doing his very best Rush Limbaugh/Fox News impression) .
I guess ol’ Bob must have forgotten these “nothings” :
1. Passed Health Care Reform. After five presidents over a century failed to create universal health insurance, signed the Affordable Care Act (2010).
2. Passed the Stimulus: Signed $787 billion American Recovery and Reinvestment Act in 2009 to spur economic growth amid greatest recession since the Great Depression.
3. Passed Wall Street Reform: Signed the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act (2010) to re-regulate the financial sector after its practices caused the Great Recession.
4. Ended the War in Iraq: Ordered all U.S. military forces out of the country. Last troops left on December 18, 2011.
5. Began Drawdown of War in Afghanistan: From a peak of 101,000 troops in June 2011, U.S. forces are now down to 91,000, with 23,000 slated to leave by the end of summer 2012.
6. Eliminated Osama bin laden: In 2011, ordered special forces raid of secret compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan, in which the terrorist leader was killed and a trove of al-Qaeda documents was discovered.
7. Turned Around U.S. Auto Industry: In 2009, injected $62 billion in federal money (on top of $13.4 billion in loans from the Bush administration) into ailing GM and Chrysler in return for equity stakes and agreements for massive restructuring.
8. Recapitalized Banks: In the midst of financial crisis, approved controversial Treasury Department plan to lure private capital into the country’s largest banks via “stress tests” of their balance sheets and a public-private fund to buy their “toxic” assets. Got banks back on their feet at essentially zero cost to the government.
9. Repealed “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell”: Ended 1990s-era restriction and formalized new policy allowing gays and lesbians to serve openly in the military for the first time.
10. Toppled Moammar Gaddafi.
11. Told Mubarak to Go: On February 1, 2011, publicly called on Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak to accept reform or step down.
12. Reversed Bush Torture Policies.
13. Improved America’s Image Abroad.
14. Kicked Banks Out of Federal Student Loan Program, Expanded Pell Grant Spending.
15. Boosted Fuel Efficiency Standards.
16.Coordinated International Response to Financial Crisis: To keep world economy out of recession in 2009 and 2010, helped secure from G-20 nations more than $500 billion for the IMF to provide lines of credit and other support to emerging market countries, which kept them liquid and avoided crises with their currencies.
18. Passed Mini Stimuli: To help families hurt by the recession and spur the economy as stimulus spending declined, signed series of measures (July 22, 2010; December 17, 2010; December 23, 2011) to extend unemployment insurance and cut payroll taxes.
19. Began Asia “Pivot”: In 2011, reoriented American military and diplomatic priorities and focus from the Middle East and Europe to the Asian-Pacific region. Executed multipronged strategy of positively engaging China while reasserting U.S. leadership in the region by increasing American military presence and crafting new commercial, diplomatic, and military alliances with neighboring countries made uncomfortable by recent Chinese behavior.
20. Increased Support for Veterans: With so many soldiers coming home from Iraq and Iran with serious physical and mental health problems, yet facing long waits for services, increased 2010 Department of Veterans Affairs budget by 16 percent and 2011 budget by 10 percent. Also signed new GI bill offering $78 billion in tuition assistance over a decade, and provided multiple tax credits to encourage businesses to hire veterans.
21. Tightened Sanctions on Iran: In effort to deter Iran’s nuclear program, signed Comprehensive Iran Sanctions, Accountability, and Divestment Act (2010) to punish firms and individuals who aid Iran’s petroleum sector. In late 2011 and early 2012, coordinated with other major Western powers to impose sanctions aimed at Iran’s banks and with Japan, South Korea, and China to shift their oil purchases away from Iran.
22. Created Conditions to Begin Closing Dirtiest Power Plants: New EPA restrictions on mercury and toxic pollution, issued in December 2011, likely to lead to the closing of between sixty-eight and 231 of the nation’s oldest and dirtiest coal-fired power plants.
23. Passed Credit Card Reforms: Signed the Credit Card Accountability, Responsibility, and Disclosure Act (2009), which prohibits credit card companies from raising rates without advance notification, mandates a grace period on interest rate increases, and strictly limits overdraft and other fees.
24. Eliminated Catch-22 in Pay Equality Laws: Signed Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act in 2009, giving women who are paid less than men for the same work the right to sue their employers after they find out about the discrimination, even if that discrimination happened years ago.
25. Protected Two Liberal Seats on the U.S. Supreme Court: Nominated and obtained confirmation for Sonia Sotomayor, the first Hispanic and third woman to serve, in 2009; and Elena Kagan, the fourth woman to serve, in 2010. They replaced David Souter and John Paul Stevens, respectively.
There are 25 MORE areas our president has fixed. Want to hear more?
Well Neocons, I guess I’ll address your list by the numbers to save myself a little typing.
1. I think I mentioned this. See “Obamacare”.
2. He did sign a bill hurling our collective checkbook at a problem. I’ll give you that.
3. I will believe that Wall Street has been regulated, AFTER their behavior is changed significantly.
4. All American military forces were mandated to withdraw from Iraqi territory by December 31, 2011 under the terms of a bilateral agreement signed in 2008 by President Bush.
5. In this case, he did order a drawdown, after he increased the amount of troops in Afghanistan from the 30,000 that were there in 2008 to the peak in 2011. That said, I was not opposed to sending in reinforcements.
6. Unless he is an undercover (extremely deep cover) Navy Seal, the President did not “Eliminate Osama bin Laden”. That was a Seal team. And you would be hard pressed to find a President, Ever, that wouldn’t green light that mission.
7. Again, he did throw the country’s checkbook at businesses that are now making obscene amounts of money, and probably not returning what they got.
8. Although it did get the banks up and running, let’s keep in mind these same banks were deeply involved in crushing our economy in the first place.
9. This one is actually pretty cool, but didn’t change a whole lot.
10. Once more, unless he is secretly a Libyan who fought in the Civil War which killed Gaddafi, then he made speeches, and went with the UN and NATO.
11. Translation: He made a speech. Strongly worded or otherwise, he made a speech.
12. He did change Bush’s torture policies. We torture people on warships now. Cuba is so muggy in the summer, this is really much nicer.
13. This is a gimme. Our image really couldn’t have gotten much worse than it was after Bush Jr.
14. I’ll actually give you that one too.
15. Although this is again positive, it doesn’t exactly make or break an administration.
16. This involved more people than just him. Not being an obstinant moron resisting for no reason isn’t the same as pushing something through single handedly.
17. This page intentionally left blank?
18. Admittedly, I appreciated the tax cut. I think the hyperextension of unemployment is a double edged sword, and makes it way more convenient to not get a new job.
19. This may actually work out, but it’s far too early to go proclaiming it a success.
20. This one is a band-aid on an amputation, but i guess it’s better than nothing. The VA needs far more attention, but I guess it’s a start.
21. Again, he can’t get full credit for simply signing something.
22. That was the EPA. Not him.
23. This could also be achieved by people not getting credit cards. Just a suggestion.
24. Again, signed something.
25. Appointing Justices to the Supreme Court isn’t something he gets to take credit for. It happened that 2 Justices left the bench during his term, (they retired, which is the only way to leave the bench short of death) and by rule, he gets to appoint new ones. This is a pretty regular occurrence, although it does have a lasting effect on the nation.
Some of the things you’ve mentioned are fairly positive, but for the most part they are either him signing something, or getting credit for the actions of another. Some of them are even relatively mundane things that every president does. Although I’m sure you have piles and piles of other great acts that the President has performed, I don’t much want to pick though them. I do however, appreciate the thought you put in to this discussion.
For the record, I am an Independent voter, and unlike many Americans, put a good bit of thought into elections. Also, for the record, I myself voted for Obama in 2008, (due mainly to the fact that Sarah Palin being a heartbeat away from the Presidency is deeply terrifying) but did not in 2012 due to my own personal feelings that he largely failed in his first term. I guess thats why we vote. Also, you owe me #17, lol.
I suppose in your little mind everyone that didn’t vote for Obama is a racist too.
Re: BobK –
“In your little mind…”
Is it an impossibility for those calling themselves conservatives to make any statement in a civil manner without sounding exactly like their spokespersons and heroes Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity or Ann Coulter?
Just for the record,my posts had NOTHING to do with the color of his skin….
I find it highly interesting and telling how often some go ballistic on people who commit a crime … especially when the miscreant is a person of color.
And of course, no racial inequality or prejudice exists in America. Better get used to non-white people in the country – they will soon be in the majority whether you like it or not.
I don’t see that happening in Bishop any time soon.
Is “Pfuhl” pronounced like fool perhaps? Just asking.
Pfuhl is pronounced Pool the f is silent.,But actually it should be pronounced FOOL!! So how did the police know he was at Pfuhl house and why wasn’t Pfuhl arrested for at least receiving stolen property? How did Gailardo get to Pfuhl house? Or did Pfuhl give him and the safe a ride from the scene of the crime
…Gotta be honest about something…In my olden days,if I were dumb enough to break into business’ with surveillance systems multiple times….allegedly….and then flee to and hide out at a house where (alleged) drug dealing has taken place in the past….and keeping the safe full of money I (allegedly) had stolen from the business at the (alleged) drug dealers house i was staying at……and then, when the Sheriffs arrive to ask questions, take off on foot trying to get away….in Chalfant Valley……If I had been stupid enough to do all of that, there is a real good chance I wouldn’t be making very many comments on this site,or anywhere else….not unless they have computers in the State prisons.
Wow Wayne, how do you know the guy was a dealer?
Trouble….Check out “Watching U’s” first post on this story about the 2008 drug bust….click onto the writting in red……
Maybe ” Watching U” shouldn’t be so quick to post allegations that where unfounded in a court of law. Why not update? The outcome of those allegations is available. Just as easy to obtain as pulling up achieved info. But that wouldn’t serve “Watching U” motives. huh
seriously whos talking about dealer?! again someone speaking there opinion and not having facts…and im sure u have done plently stupid things in your time..unless if course your some kind of perfect saint who lived a perfect life…thsts whats wrong with this society people are fullll of judgement!!!!
Thanks Vince, it’s good to know that he had some good clean time. Perhaps he will remember it as a good time in his life and make an attempt to return to recovery.
vince….That’s the point….. I did a lot of stupid things in my time….just never stupid enough to get caught.
If you do not know him on a personal basis u should not comment on what type of person he is…he has struggled with the disease of addiction which he had recovered from…and had became a productive citizen of society for many years now…that does not excuse his recent bad choices over a relapse ….which the judge and jury will deal with..unless u have trully suffered from addiction or alcholism u have know idea what it does to u or the things u end up doing over it…everyone is so quick to judge and give there opinions about someone they dont even know…yes!! judge the crime it was horrible and not right!!! but he us trully not a bad person..
Vince, you are probably correct. I don’t know him and hope he can turn things around.
Vince,
Even if you’re not an addict yourself doesn’t mean you have no idea what it does to your family and community. Facing up to the hurt you have caused others in this world is a major step to redemption for all of us. Tell Eduardo I hope he didn’t do this, but if he did and needs help, to ask for it.
I do know him Vince. You must not know him as well as you think. This is not the only offense that he is currently accused of and it is not just thefts.
If he was 18 I would hope he get a break. At 37, I hope he doesn’t have kids.
Trouble…you did what I didn’t think was possible , A PERFECT SCORE ! I don’t agree with you most of the time, but you hit the nail on the head, this time. BRAVO!
uhh,the guys a criminal, and how dare he break into my favorite store in bishop
The guy is currently alleged to have committed a crime.
Benett Kessler
It may only be alleged at the moment, but that big chunk of jerky on his chin in the photo is pretty damning evidence.
That thing on his chin is a crime. Might go well with some jailhouse tats though..
@Mark- Could the thing on his chin be called an accessory?
Maybe Mongo should start a halfway house for drug addicted felons….the tribe and county both have programs, but this person chose not to participate. BTW, the Sound Shoppe was burglarized by someone with the same MO…personally I think if we don’t tolerate dealers (do YOU know one?) the problem will shrink, at least a little.
Mongo helped “those people” for a while.
Score=
3 great success.
5 suicides.
95% of the people exposed had no interest.
I got close to people, the suicides hurt Mongo deeply.
Also, being physically attacked hurt Mongo.
Perhaps Mongo will try again when his heart heals and he feels he can make offerings that afford dignity of choice for the afflicted. (as opposed to one method)
In all sincerity, if you have ideas, I am interested.
Mongo, thanks for your part in those three redemptions, just don’t waste your time on people that don’t take your offer of help.
Decriminalize growing and personal use of cannabis for adults on their private property. Show little mercy to those giving it to minors, driving under influence, or using it to support other criminal enterprises. Keep the government and corporations from becoming dealers and make them run their business without preying on people’s vices.
Once you have removed cannabis from black market, offer addicts of all drugs treatment and even their substance of choice under medical and community supervision while they receive counseling.
If they still choose to break into your business and steal your safe to support the black market, track them down and jail them. Let them go cold turkey under lock and key and serve their time. The only mercy they deserve is counseling in lockdown.
Addiction is no excuse for stealing. Ask for help or serve your time.
Mongo, thanks for your part in those three redemptions, just don’t waste your time on people that don’t take your offer of help.
Thanks for trying Mongo. Hold on to those 3 successes. Minor miracles, those. The others were not your fault. That’s on them, not you.
No, I have no idea how to reach people who refuse to be reached, or how to reach people who are just bad to the bone. You just have to sift through them to get to those three you helped, which made it worthwhile.
People like to help People!
For some reason it seems to me we have fallen into a “anti-society” “anti-community” money driven, narrow-minded interest, self-preservation, American culture with the ultimate entitlement to instant gratification…and hence left with new norms where people of our own community are shunned and outcast-ed over and over because people are conditioned with incentives to think in ways that scratch the “rule of law” and institutions back!
I was thinking to myself one night, and thought? If everyone (who was able) dedicated one hour a day, or one full day a week to helping someone or something that needed helped, and a gov’t for the people by the people subsidized work hours lost, resources and all other costs, how much of a better society would we live in?
It’s sad and obvious to see that in some cases some of these “lifer criminals” are obviously talented individuals that would love to be able contribute to society if they could, but early social factors and social environments may have left those with underlined conditions or mental or emotional stress (abuse), Unfortunately our justice system will take in account one’s social status (class), but not if one has a mental or emotional scars, which have obvious contributions to one’s behavior, put that in perspective of how in this current time there is lack of jobs, under-employment, rise in the cost of living, society doesn’t offer much to these “lifers”, so what is left besides the drug/theft/criminal behavior that unfortunately can pay the bills easier then “two” minimum wage paying jobs?
How can we expect to see any declines in criminal activity when we have systems of status quo’s that enable criminal activity, and policy’s of a nation that wage war on it’s own citizens?
I’m curious. This fellow is a known published user and thief in a small community so he faces special challenges. Is it possible for him to make a living that does not involve stealing? Does he get aid money from a tribe or the govt? What if he cleaned himself up, would the community embrace the change, or is he terminally disadvantaged? What happens when people see him in town, are they afraid, do they cross the street? Does anyone ever recover and turn a new leaf? If they do can they apply to get their picture on the website so the community will know? Is there any incentive or opportunity for “those people” to change?
It appears Eduardo hid out at Scott Pfuhl’s house in Chalfant. https://thereal395.com/596/marijuana-bust-in-chalfant/
HOW ARE YOU ABLE TO ACCESS AND POST UNFOUNDED ALLEGATIONS FROM 6 YEARS AGO WITHOUT UPDATING THE FACTS.THATS SLANDER WATCH YOURSELF !!
