Dear Friends of ICARE,
During the month of July, the Inyo County Animal Shelter in Big Pine, California is having a $10 adoption special. Cats, kittens, dogs and puppies can all be taken home for the bargain price of just $10 (instead of the usual $50, which included the $40 spay/neuter deposit).
If you’ve been dreaming of adding a furry member to your family, there’s no better time than the month of July to take the plunge!
For the animals,
Lisa Schade

1) Apparently, pet’s do not increase reading comprehension.
2) A handful of frauds and people who game the system doesn’t justify eliminating the system. They should encourage us to fix the system.
3) We see how private enterprise are unashamed to become blood sucking ghouls getting rich off sick people. So if we don’t allow private enterprise to do that — who’s left? We the people. And for all it’s flaws, the government is we the people. If we fix government we can fix the healthcare system. Not an easy thing to do when the electorate is largely functionally illiterate. And the media is not concerned with educating the electorate but only concerned with making money selling ads for the people who should be out of government.
Or whatever…..
And this has what to do with pet adoptions? Do you have a dog or cat and understand the love they bring into the home?
How many billions of dollars are spent by Americans on pets, feeding pets, buying toys for pets, having shows for pets, taking pets to doctors?
While many of those same “pet lovers” decry food stamps and universal health care for HUMANDS.
I’ve never understood that.
The more I know about humans like Ken Warner, the more I love my dog.
It could be that many of us feel we can learn a lot from the animals we live with regarding the love they freely dispense and the joy and positive attitudes they bring to every day. It’s certainly a refreshing contrast with a lot of the soreheaded whining that’s far too much on display. Take a hike with a dog and maybe it’ll help you understand.
I hear what you’re saying Ken, but some people really care about their pets .. some more than others .. I hear ya though .. a lot of money spent of wasteful stuff as in anything …
And some people don’t like to see the abuse of the system .. including enabling whole family generations with ad try to protect that help for those who truly need it, those who can not do for themselves …
Helthcare .. is something needed .. but the current plan is flawed with greed, it is run by the big companies, the insurance companies and the pharmaceutical/medical companies.
Even if you treat it universally, internationally .. Who stands to make a buttload of money with it? And who’s backs will it be burdened on?
Such if life in this world.
What a fantastic “promotion”. I will share this information with everyone I know!
$10 That’s way better then $50
way to go! wish I could get another pound puppy.
