As always, you are correct. However, maybe use your immense knowledge, research and positive outlook to reduce the amount of spread. Instead of only posting the negatives, what advice can you provide to help humanity eliminate COVID-19 so that the world can get back to normal?

Don’t need to go to the L.A. Times, anybody can go to the official California web site and get the hospital info by county there. Probably the same place the L.A. Times goes. I just type in ‘covid in ca’ and go from there. It might be off by a day or two but you can still get a good idea of what’s going on.
I would still like to know why it is that there are only 3 ICU beds and not enough staff for any major emergency to serve a county of 18,000 people plus tourists? The next bug could be worse not to mention earthquakes, fires etc. One car wreck could fill them all up. In a state with a growing population why are our hospitals shrinking?

I know from friends in the medical field that it is harder to get patients transferred to other hospitals for non-COVID procedures because the other hospitals are overwhelmed. So even if our own hospital isn’t overwhelmed (which we wouldn’t know as it isn’t being reported on), COVID is affecting the medical care of our community.

Genevieve your friends in the medical field are right.
I know from just my own personal experience in two different cases where N.I.H. had to try for hours to find a bed for very ill patients.
And I’m sure there were many more than two.
These possibly were life or death situations.
It was very frightening and frustrating.
Thank you N.I.H for your determination.
Bishop owes a debt of gratitude and appreciation to everyone working in the medical field for remaining strong in the face of extreme frustration.
Frustration that many of the covid cases could’ve been easily prevented.
Let’s have a big BBQ at the park to say thank-you when the time is right.

Giving the number of people hospitalized with COVID would reveal someone’s identity and/or health information how? It’s a joke, right?

Rick, yeah it’s pretty lame. Gotta go to the LA Times to get that piece of local info.

I think it is a mistake not to post hospitalizations in Inyo County due to COVID. That is a critical number for the public to be aware of. I do not understand how posting that number by HHS would compromise the privacy of anybody. It is just a number…not a name.

Oh come on. Hospitalizations and ICU capacity are reported all the time without divulging the identities of patients. And these numbers are far more important to the public in assessing the severity of the pandemic than mere case numbers, which turn this into no more than a casedemic that counts asymptomatic people and people with mild cold-like symptoms.

SW must know this, which leads to the question, what is the real reason for concealing the current aggregate numbers, shorn of personal information, of Covid-caused hospitalizations and Covid-caused ICU stays? A good guess – made possible by the concealment of critical data – is that the numbers would not support the panic narrative and so the public health authorities do not want them known. This kind of devious, inconsistent messaging is precisely why so many people no longer trust the official accounts they hear about Covid.

So, Obviously the vaccine has caused the virus to Mutate. And now infect younger people as opposed to the Original Strain which affected mainly the sick and elderly .

The Delta variant originated in India, which at the time, had almost NO vaccinations (3% population with at least one shot). It mutated in an area that it could spread freely, because that’s how mutations *work*.

Vaccines don’t cause mutations. Viruses mutate on their own. Vaccine protect against mutated viruses.

I guess you are now a doctor, scientist and an expert in everything else.question, did the virus mutate because of the vaccine or was it a natural phenomenon as it progresses from host to host? If you know answer you may be eligible for an award.

The Vaccinated Hosts are actually the ones Shedding the Virus , Which in some cases can Mutate , Where as in an Un Vaccinated host , The Virus is eliminated and passes out of the system as waste.

https://www.uptodate.com/contents/covid-19-epidemiology-virology-and-prevention:
…There is also no evidence that SARS-CoV-2 can be transmitted through contact with non-mucous membrane sites (eg, abraded skin).
The most recent evidence is that the virus can remain on the skin (from coughing, sneezing, air droplets, etc.) for up to 90 minutes. (Not through skin pores!) SARS-CoV-2 remained viable on the skin for about nine hours but was completely inactivated within 15 seconds of exposure to 80% alcohol.

As to comment that masks are a joke, according to Stanford Medicine, Surgical masks reduce COVID-19 spread, large-scale study shows https://med.stanford.edu/news/all-news/2021/09/surgical-masks-covid-19.html

Stanford is not alone is studying effectiveness of wearing face masks to prevent spread of viruses, including COVID-10. There are many other major medical schools that have tested masking and have found them effective as well.

There is also this: Evidence shows that, yes, masks prevent COVID-19 – and surgical masks are the way to go.

The only masks that have been proven to prevent MOST of the Covid-19 Virus is the N-95 type ! 90% of all people are wearing masks made of Cloth Material .
Which are of no USE .

To spread the virus, you have to have the virus. And the vaccinated are much less likely to be infected. If unvaccinated, you are more likely to be infected and thus be a virus spreader. If you are unvaccinated, good luck to you. You will need it! Talk to your doctor.

JUST SHUT UP , Obviously you have not fact checked the Mask issue , Cloth Masks do NOTHING to prevent transmission of Covid-19 or any virus for that matter .
And even the best masks available to the public , The N-95 type , does not guarantee full protection .
Just because you do not like the truth , don’t think for a minute that you can LIE it away .
You may find yourself in a very bad situation eventually .
