No sooner than Sierra Wave reporter Deb Murphy’s report yesterday on the Mono County Supervisors approving the attestation document to the state to reopen the county in Stage 2, than the approval comes from the state the very next day! This brings Inyo and Mono counties in greater alignment with reopening retail stores during the rapidly approaching summer tourism season.
The question now is: What about public campground re-openings? Dispersed camping presents real dangers, especially during the fire season.
5/20/20 – Mono County Approved for Expanded Stage 2
Mono County’s Attestation supporting our readiness to move into Expanded Stage 2 of the state’s reopening plan is posted and approved by the California Department. of Public Health.
✔ What can you do in the expansion?
– Everything in Stage 1 and Early Stage 2
– Destination retail (e.g., shopping malls)
– In-restaurant dining (other amenities, like bars or gaming areas, are not permitted at all in Stage 2)
– Schools with modifications

I’m in 60 miles miles , east of Dallas Texas , we have been open for a month, except a gym .Most small businesses were open , and sheriff ignored. 2 cases , no deaths in whole county . Open up , you are run by tyrants.
Good news. And glad to hear the state issued a quick response. Hopefully stage 2 will go well for all so we can keep moving forward.
