First Phase of a Tribal Economic Development Project Completed
January 7, 2021, Inyo County – The Bishop Paiute Tribal Council and the Bishop Paiute Development Corporation
are pleased to celebrate the Grand Opening of the Yuhubi Nobi (“Oil House”) Gas Station and Market on
Wednesday, January 13, 2021.
The Yuhubi Nobi Gas Station and Market is located at the NE corner of See Vee Lane and West Line Street (SR 168).
This 6000 SF building will include an exceptionally large selection of retail and food products to satisfy the needs of all customers, including grocery items, snacks, outdoor and RV supplies, fishing, camping, health and beauty, and much more. The Yuhubi Nobi will contain a full-service deli and grill, serving fresh and delicious food items for
guests on the go or to enjoy in our comfortable seating area.
The pump stations and canopy allow for a comfortable and convenient entrance and exit to get customers back on the road or back up to the mountains or to and from home for an affordable price. Included on the property is a separate pump station and canopy with extended spaces between terminals to accommodate semi-trucks, RVs, boat attachments, or trailers.
The Yuhubi Nobi management team understands the need to implement extensive safety standards for the health and wellbeing of the community and our guests. As recommended by public health authorities, Covid-19 restrictions will be enforced, and masks will be required to enter the store.
The Yuhubi Nobi Gas Station and Market is the first phase of the West Line Street Project which will ultimately include a retail center and automatic car wash.
The Bishop Paiute Tribal Council and Bishop Paiute Development Corporation would like to thank the U.S.
Department of Commerce Economic Development Administration (EDA) for their award of $2.1 million grant to
the Bishop Paiute Tribe that was applied towards the infrastructure of a retail center and business incubator.
Special thanks to the Bishop Paiute Tribal Community, City of Bishop, Cal Trans, and Southern California Edison for their partnership and support on this project. We look forward to serving the needs of the public at our one-stop
