A Wind Advisory has been issued for the eastern Sierra slopes (west-southwest winds with gusts to 65 mph) and for the Owens Valley (west-southwest winds will gusts to 50 mph). The greatest concern for impacts lies between Independence and Olancha along Highway 395 due to the potential for strong crosswinds.
