Community Calendar Announcement

The Carson & Colorado Rail Way invites everyone to a Welcome Home Party for the Slim Princess narrow gauge, steam Locomotive #18 on Saturday, Nov. 2 at the Eastern California Museum in Independence. The Slim Princess will be steamed up and rides will be offered starting at 11 a.m. for a $20 donation. At 2 p.m. there will be a slide show about the restoration effort and a Silent Auction.  At 4 pm, a Tri-Tip Dinner will be served for $20 a person and the Black and White String Band will play on the grounds of the Museum, 155 N.
