Synopsis – Wed Sep 11 2024

Today, an early season, potent PACNW trough drops down into the Western US. As it moves inland, its axis and associated cold front will drop temperatures some 8 degress in Bishop, between today and Thursday. Gusty SW winds can be expected today as well, ahead of the cold front. That front also brings some moisture, with the best chances of measurable rain from Susanville Northward. Friday and the weekend, a flat ridge will gradually return temps to mid Sep averages, before another system may impact the region early next week…DMATT
