Area Forecast Discussion – Mon Aug 12 2024

An upper shortwave will push across Central CA then further inland today, breaking down the upper ridge centered over 4-Corners. This ridge has been responsible for the widespread triple digit heat of late. This will in turn allow a noticeable cooling trend across Inyo and Mono County today thru the rest of the work week. Temps then should drop to normal for mid August as the week progresses. It’s about time!…DMATT
