Forecast Discussion – Wed Jul 10 2024

Our strong high strengthens a bit as it moves slowly over NV then into UT. Still then very warm record threatening temperatures, running some 10 – 15 degress above normal. Those temps will vary little this week, so mid 100s persist. If all this wasn’t enough, skies will generally be hazey from the fires in CA, OR and Northern NV. But there is some good news, that strong 500mb high is forecast to drift towards 4-Corners, with the possibility of some Monsoon moisture. Updates tomorrow…DMATT
