For most people the big story is the anticipated cooldown. A potent system from Alaska which will move into the Western US, with its core center dropping down as far as the CA / OR border, will pass through the Great Basin this weekend. Temps will drop from 94° today in Bishop to only 81° on Saturday. If you are a fan of cooler weather (and you know who you are) be sure to make the most of the weekend, as it looks like those temps climb back up next week…DMATT
