After an unseasonably warm and dry period, an active pattern starts today. A deep layer of subtropical IVT moisture will hit our area later today thru Thursday, with additional precipitation Friday. Expect snow heavy at times in Mammoth with levels starting at 7,500 feet Thursday, dropping down 4,500 feet Friday. Estimated totals for Mammoth, Main 16 – 22 inches and Summit 20 – 24 inches by Friday. The Owens Valley should see a rain / snow mix thru Friday, with Aspendell picking up 8 – 12 inches…DMATT
