Forecast Discussion – Thu Feb 01 2024

After sun and ramped up SW winds Wednesday, a storm rolled in Wednesday night. We will have snow today and tonight, with showers Friday. Snow levels will be at about 5,500 to 6,500 feet. When all is said and done, Mammoth can expect at the Main Lodge 15 – 20 inches and on the Summit 18 – 22 inches. The Owens Valley looks to have mostly rain with the possibility of some snow showers. Looks like a break Saturday, possibly Sunday, before a large and powerful storm kicks through our Forecast Area Sunday night into Monday / Tuesday. More on that Friday…DMATT
