 **Two Suspects Arrested Following Investigation into Violent Assault**

 

**BISHOP, CA** – On March 30, 2025, at approximately 11:32 PM, Bishop Police Officers located an unconscious and bleeding male subject located on East Elm Street near the Giggle Springs gas station. Upon arrival, officers located the victim and immediately requested medical assistance. Sierra Life Flight responded to the scene and transported the subject to Northern Inyo Hospital for emergency treatment.

 

A joint investigation was launched to determine the cause of the incident and the extent of the victim’s injuries. Through investigative efforts by Bishop Police Officers and Inyo County District Attorney Investigators, two suspects were identified: 23-year-old Elisha Shoshone and a 17-year-old male juvenile.

 

On April 4, 2025, at approximately 5:53 PM, law enforcement officers from the Bishop Police Department, Inyo County District Attorney’s Office, Inyo County Sheriff’s Department, and Bishop Tribal Police successfully located and arrested both suspects. The individuals were taken into custody on multiple felony charges, including:

 

– Attempted Homicide (664/187 PC)

– Robbery (211 PC)

– Conspiracy (182(a)(1) PC)

– Torture (206 PC)

– Stalking (646.9(a) PC)

– Assault with a Deadly Weapon (245(a)(1) PC)

– Battery Causing Serious Bodily Injury (243(d) PC)

 

**It should be noted that charges may be modified or dropped as the case progresses. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. **
