The Board of Directors of the 18th DAA, Eastern Sierra Tri-County Fair wishes to assure the community that the 2024 Tri-County Fair will take place August 29 – September 1, as scheduled.
The resignation of our amazing CEO Jen McGuire, citing health issues, has been accepted with deepest regrets.
Jen’s skills and leadership have vaulted our fairgrounds to being the centerpiece of the community, to the benefit of all of us, beyond measure. Jen has served on local, regional and state boards and has received numerous awards for her service, including The Congressional Award of Service by Congressman Kevin Kiley. She navigated our facility through the most difficult of times and we came out stronger and better. She is leaving our fairgrounds physically and fiscally better than when she first arrived. In addition to all the improvements to the grounds and the additional equipment that has been acquired under her leadership. She truly loves our facility.
There appears to be various community conversations regarding this recent turn of events that requires some clarification and response. The Board of Directors and staff wishes the public to know that Jen McGuire is held in the highest regard with thanks, appreciation, and has our full support. It is important that each of us make sure that we possess the full and complete narrative of any situation before passing judgement. That full narrative may not always be publicized for legal and personnel reasons.
The Board of Directors of the 18th DAA is dedicated and committed to the continued success and growth of the Tri-County Fairgrounds.
Thank you.
