This Wednesday April 30 at 6:30PM…at the Whiskey Creek Event Room in Bishop…a Chautauqua performance of legendary Sierra Nevada mountaineer-Norman Clyde. Norman spent over 60 years in the “Range of Light,” was a freelance writer, nature photographer, self-taught naturalist, and extraordinary mountaineer. He completed more than 100 search and rescue missions and achieved over 130 first-known European ascents— often while carrying an 80-pound pack! Local historian and author David Woodruff brings this larger-than-life character to the stage in an entertaining 60-minute theatrical storytelling experience!

The free program is presented by the Bishop Area Climbers Coalition. Donations ($10-$15) are greatly appreciated. Beverages will be available for purchase or come early and enjoy dinner in the restaurant . Doors open at 6PM-program at 6:30PM. Seating is limited to 50 people…so come early.
