Senator Marie Alvarado-Gil, Mono and Inyo County officials honor Eastern Sierra legend with “Dave McCoy Memorial Highway”

BISHOP, Calif. – Senator Marie Alvarado-Gil (R-Jackson), Mono County and Inyo County officials invite the Eastern Sierra community to join them as they honor the life of local icon Dave McCoy with the celebration of the newly designated “Dave McCoy Memorial Highway” along U.S. 395. This event celebrates McCoy’s monumental contributions to the Eastern Sierra, particularly his role in transforming Mammoth Mountain into a world-renowned destination and bolstering the region’s economy. This year Senator Alvarado-Gil championed Senate Concurrent Resolution 102, which passed unanimously, to ensure that McCoy’s vision, philanthropy, and dedication to education, the arts, and economic development are permanently recognized. This new memorial stands as a lasting tribute to McCoy’s enduring impact, ensuring his legacy will honored for generations to come.
