Overall, it was a fantastic meet, and I’m incredibly proud of my team for their outstanding performances, with a total of 28 personal records set.
Looking ahead, BUHS Track and Field will host a home meet against Rosamond on Wednesday, 4/9/25, and then travel to Bakersfield, CA, to compete in the Lonnie Shelton Invitational on Friday, 4/11/25.
Additionally, the BUHS Throws Team will host a 6th-8th grade throws camp on May 3rd from 9 AM to 11 AM, teaching kids how to throw Shot Put and Discus. If you’re interested in signing up, please email Coach Miears at Richard0693@gmail.com. This camp serves as a fundraiser to help purchase and update new equipment for the throws team and to introduce trowing to the community, as there are no track and field programs in our local middle schools here in the Owens Valley.
